The Playbook: Why Leaders Build Systems (and How to Do It in 10 Minutes a Week)

Most people collect prompts. Leaders build systems.

A system is what makes you consistent. It’s what protects quality when you’re busy. It’s what keeps your team aligned when everything is moving. And it’s what makes you look calm in rooms where everyone else is reacting.

Here’s a weekly habit I recommend — 10 minutes, once a week:

  1. Identify your top 3 time drains (briefs, reporting, QA, stakeholder updates)

  2. Pick one and ask: what’s repeatable here?

  3. Create one template: a prompt + a checklist

  4. Save it to your “AI Marketing Playbook”

  5. Track one thing: time saved, fewer errors, faster approvals, stronger results

Over a month, you’ve built four templates. Over a quarter, you’ve built a real operating system. That’s how AI becomes leverage, not noise. And that’s how you stay valuable: by building leadership trust and consistency.

If you’re reading this and you’re in a new role, just laid-off, burnout, confidence is dipping, I want you to know this: you’ve already adapted before. This is another one of those moments. And you don’t have to do it alone.

If you’re a mid-senior or executive marketer who wants clarity and confidence in your next move and a plan you can execute, my coaching is built for that. Practical tools, real leadership experience, and support that actually feels like someone has your back.
